Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 21, 2026

This policy explains how information is handled when you use Convo Cards. It covers the website and browser app, operated by ThoughtBubble Labs, LLC, and the native iOS, iPadOS, and Android apps, provided by ThoughtBubble Development, LLC. Their data practices differ, so the sections below identify which product they describe.

Native mobile apps

Information kept on your device

The mobile apps do not require an account. They store app preferences, questions you have seen, questions you save to Favorites, and unfinished sessions or progress in app-private storage on your device. Convo Cards does not upload or synchronize this local app data to our servers. The operating system may handle device backups according to your device and account settings.

The apps do not provide a place to write or record answers. They do not request access to your contacts, precise location, camera, or microphone.

Mobile analytics

Analytics are not configured in the mobile app releases currently distributed for testing. The iOS app contains optional analytics support; if we enable analytics in a future release, this policy describes the data it may collect. When enabled, iOS analytics may send a pseudonymous app identifier, technical diagnostics, and events about onboarding, screens and decks viewed, sessions and questions used, Favorites changes, purchases and restores, progress resets, and app errors. These events help us understand and improve the app. Analytics is not used for cross-app advertising or tracking. The apps do not send the text of saved Favorites or spoken or written answers as analytics data.

Purchases

Apple processes purchases made through the App Store, and Google processes purchases made through Google Play. The app receives the transaction status needed to unlock or restore ConvoCards All Access. We do not receive your payment card number. Apple and Google handle purchase and account information under their own privacy policies: Apple and Google.

Local data choices

You can manage saved questions in Favorites. In the app, Reset All Progress clears question history and unfinished sessions but leaves saved questions in place. Clearing app data or removing the app may remove local records; a device backup may restore them according to your operating-system settings. Store purchases remain associated with your Apple or Google account and can be restored through the app.

Website and browser app

This section applies to the Convo Cards website and browser-based app, not to the native mobile apps described above.

Information you provide

If you sign in to the website with Google, we receive the account information needed to create and maintain your web account, such as your name, email address, and Google account identifier. The website may store your web-app favorites, activity, and subscription status in your browser or account. If you email support, we use your email address and the details you choose to include to respond and troubleshoot.

Website usage and analytics

When you use the website, our hosting and security services may process standard request information such as your IP address, browser and device details, pages requested, and timestamps. The website may use cookies and analytics services, including Google Analytics and Umami when configured, to understand site usage and improve the web experience. Those technologies may process page visits, interaction events, browser identifiers, and technical information.

Website subscriptions

Premium subscriptions purchased on the website are processed by Stripe. Stripe handles payment credentials; the website receives the account and subscription information needed to provide the web service. Website subscriptions are separate from the one-time All Access purchase in the mobile apps.

How information is used and retained

We use information to operate and secure the product you use, provide requested features, respond to support requests, and maintain or improve that product. Information is retained only as long as needed for those purposes, to meet legal obligations, or to resolve disputes. The mobile apps do not send locally stored Favorites or progress to us; those records remain under your control on your device, subject to operating-system backup settings.

Children’s privacy

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The native mobile apps do not require an account and do not send the local app data described above to us. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the website, contact us so we can review the request.

Security and changes

We use reasonable safeguards for information handled by our services. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure. We may update this policy as our products or practices change; the revised date will appear at the top of this page.
